Artist Claire Gill is drawn to the coast, enjoying the sense of space found at the beaches, harbours, cliffs and promenades where the land meets the sea. She finds inspiration in the ephemera left lying around by fishermen and the weathered exteriors of buildings and objects left open to the elements. She associates the coast with memories of holidays and day trips. Claire uses photography to explore a sense of the places she visits and the technique of photomontage to create her images.
