Towner by Andy Tuohy (Limited Edition Print)

Established as a 'gallery for the people' with funds from Alderman John Chisholm Towner in 1923, the Eastbourne gallery outgrew it's original home and the new Towner opened in 2009. This image by Andy Tuohy perfectly captures the sculptural lines of the gallery designed by Award winning Rick Mather Architects.

Andy Tuohy creates retro inspired original artworks of architecture, landmarks, locations and objects. Andy trained as a graphic designer at Liverpool Polytechnic (now John Moores) and worked in publishing and advertising for many years before going it alone as an artist designer. His work often includes subjects as diverse as modernist architecture; coastal landmarks from beach huts to bus shelters; transport; landscapes and seascapes.
