On Margate Sands 2 by Chris Snow (Limited Edition Print)

It is said that TS Eliot spent time in this seafront shelter whilst recovering from a nervous breakdown. It was here that he found inspiration for part of The Wasteland, praised as on of the greatest poems of the 20th century. Margate has seen difficult times in recent years and the words of the quoted passage still resonate.
